About Bailey
Hi, I'm Custard and I am sooooooooooo excited to meet my new pawrents.
I'm still just a baby so I am working on my training and impulse control! I can still be a bit rough when I play but I'm improving all the time.
I would love to go to puppy school so that I can make lots of new friends and work on my training and socialisation. I'm ready to be a gold-star good girl!
I have been spending time in foster care and here is what they had to say about me:
"Custard is a lovely pup who likes tummy rubs and to be near you. She needs a mixture of playtime and cuddles and would be great for someone after an affectionate and active companion to enjoy life with. She is such a sweetheart who just wants to be near you.
Custard can be mouthy when playing, especially when over excited she tends to jump, mouth, and pull at your clothes. This occurs most often when she has been chasing her toys, playing tug of war or is over tired. I'm pretty sure she is doing it for attention and because she wants to play - If you have younger kids please bring them in to meet Custard as her jumping and mouthing in play can be a bit intense and we want to make sure everyone in the family is comfortable and happy!
She loves to play tug of war with everything. If she gets too excited put her in
another room to calm down. Walking away from her works if she's not to excited.
Toilet training still needs working on. Go potty is her command and she has started going to the door sometimes when she wants to go out.
Likes to chew on things favourites are cardboard, toy with treat, treats, plush squeaky toys.
Custard knows how to sit on command and sits for her food. Teaching her drop and good is her key word. She also knows come but won't if there's something more interesting to do.
Custard has not had any issues with separation anxiety and would love to continue building her confidence along with her new humans. Will cry initially for a couple of minutes but is then fine when you put her in a room and close the door. She's not very keen on being confined to a pen/crate and will make escape attempts.
Very food motivated - not picky about treats but does like something she can chew on for a few minutes. We've been using a Slow feeder bowl for her wet food and this has been very successful for her.
Custard's favourite things:
Snuffle / dig games
Lick mat
Flirt pole/ cat teaser wand
Loves to chase soft toys with squeaker
Anything that moves is fun for her."
...
If you have an active lifestyle and time to dedicate to training the super energetic and smart Custard please come in and meet her today!
