Tired of having to bend down to pat your dog? Javier (Ha-vie-air) might be just the guy for you! His head is always right next to your hand. This guy is such a delight! He has the most beautiful loving personality and is happy just hanging out while you do your thing. He’s such a goofball and doesn’t seem to realise he’s not a lap dog.
He’s a very good boy on the lead and doesn’t pull, he gets a little distracted and can sniff around a bit but for the most part he just gracefully glides along next to you with his impressive big dog gait. He loves other dogs and has showed no aggression at all with dogs of all sizes and sexes, he hasn’t been officially tested with cats but has been in the same room with cats on numerous occasions at the vet and has shown no interest.

He’s recently toilet trained and if you remember to take him outside he won’t have accidents in the house. Javier absolutely adores people and has so much affection for his teenage human foster family.
Javier doesn’t seem to have attachment anxiety but he has shown some minor destructive tendencies when left alone, like chewing up cardboard boxes, toilet paper and paper towel, with the appropriate chew toys this would likely not be an issue.
Javier travels well in the car, doesn’t seem to get car sick and is very well behaved in public.
Javier doesn’t bark much, he can be a little vocal when playing but nothing bothersome, he will bark if someone is at the door but quickly settles so great guard dog!
Ideally he’d like a home with some room for him to run and stretch his long legs with secure fencing.
Javier is a gentle giant who likes to be close to his people, he loves gazing lovingly at you, has the most beautiful smile, is a big fan of contact and will always offer an affectionate paw, he’s also a big leaner and just loves resting his head on you, if you don’t stop him he will attempt to sit on your lap as he doesn’t seem to realise he’s not a lap dog.
Javier will need someone who can continue his training and enforce boundaries.
He currently knows how to sit, shake and lie down.
