About Bolt
💙 Meet Our Bouncy Boy Bolt 💙
Not much worries Bolt. He is very carefree and adventurous and never stops wagging his tail. Literally, never stops!
When he arrived at SoCares he had a badly broken toe, not that you could tell because of how happy he was. His toe is all better now and Bolt is ready to find his new family.
HOUSEHOLD- Bolt would suit any family dynamic, he is such a great dog! He can be bouncy at times when he wants your attention and this behaviour may unintentionally knock over small children in the family.
ON-GOING TRAINING- Bolt already knows how to sit and comes to his name. He does need some ongoing training when it comes to teaching him it’s not always appropriate to jump up onto people for attention or tap you with his paws.
ON LEAD- Bolt walks really well on a lose lead. He is very confident and happy to just walk around and sniff his surroundings.
PLAY/TOYS- Bolt loves his plush toys. He has no dramas sharing them with people and enjoys a game with you.
OTHER DOGS- Bolt absolutely loves other dogs, he doesn’t care what kind of dog it is he must play with them and he must play with them now.
Bolt doesn’t have an off switch when it comes to playing with other canines. He would play all day if you let him.
Bolt needs a home with another canine companion. He loves other dogs so much and would be much happier spending his day in a big backyard with another super playful dog who doesn’t tire of games quickly rather then being on his own.
CATS/OTHER ANIMALS- Bolt is very unsure of cats and wasn’t confident enough to approach them. He was happy to sniff from a distance.
A cat who sticks to themselves in a home might be suitable for Bolt, that way he can check them out from afar without having them up in his face trying to force a friendship he isn’t comfortable with. A slow introduction would still need to take place, but Bolt has shown no outwards aggression to cats.
CARE/GROOMING- Bolt has a thin coat they doesn’t require much maintenance. When being handled Bolt thinks it’s a game and gets a bit excitable. He is unbothered when being brushed or getting his nails cut.
EXERCISE- Bolt has plenty of energy, he would very much enjoy being taken to dog parks and beaches where he can play with other dogs living his best carefree life.
NUTRITION- Bolt isn’t a fussy eater. When he was giving a high value treat he walked away to a blanket and started eating it. When he was approached he was all tail wags.
