Patch

Introducing Patch, a highly energetic and exuberant 1 year old cattle dog! This young lad is intelligent and active—he loves to learn and has some basic training under his collar. Patch has already mastered "sit" and "walks well on lead", making him an excellent companion for people who enjoy spending time out and about.

Patch loves people—so much so that his tail rarely stops wagging. He's always learning new things, filled with desire to please his people and he is known to work harder when there is a treat involved. As he is still young, Patch would benefit from continued training, particularly in strengthening his recall and "stay" commands.

While Patch enjoys the company of other dogs, he can be a bit selective with his doggy friends. He has been sociable with the female dogs at the shelter but would thrive best in a home as an only dog for now.

Like many of his breed, Patch is active and requires both physical and mental stimulation. He will be an excellent jogging or walking partner and would excel in games that make him think. He dreams of having a secure yard to call his own, where he can run, play, and exercise to his heart's content.
