About Shimmer
Shimmer is a 5 month old red and tan female Kelpie and is a sweetheart. Despite a tough start, she's blossomed in care, overcoming malnutrition and has thrived in foster care. Shimmer may be smaller than other dogs her age but is inquisitive, quick to learn, and eager to explore.
She's mastering commands like sit and drop and is getting used to walking on a lead. This snuggly pup is crate trained and thrives with other dogs and people, making her an ideal companion for a home with another furry friend.
Shimmer was not well socialised before coming into care, so she can take a little while to feel safe in new environments and on walks while she learns about the world. Thankfully her curiosity and adaptability are helping her overcome these initial fears.
With each new experience, Glimmer is becoming more confident in navigating the world around her and will need a home committed to building her confidence and providing positive experiences in new environments. She is very people focussed and will become your shadow in a short time.
Shimmer needs a home where her energy needs can be met and where she can continue her training, so that her bright sparkle can flourish.
If you think you have a home that meets Shimmer's needs, then please apply!
**Shimmer is located in Vic...

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
