About Dole
Hi, I’m Dole.
I am looking for a home with a family who is patient and kind, and show me that there is no need to be afraid of humans. I grew up on the streets and didn’t have much interaction with people before coming to the facility. The carers here are nice, and I’ve gotten used to this little condo, but I’d really blossom in a home environment.
I’d really love a calm and quiet household, or at least an area of the home that is just mine where I can safely retreat to when things get a bit much for me. I should be strictly indoors only; going back outside is just not for me!
Just like all kittens, I will need a tower to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. I should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure I grow big and strong. I’m also already litter trained, but it’s best to teach me again when we get home.
If you’ve got other cats at home, that’s okay, just make sure we have a slow introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a shy kitty like me?
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
