Lady

Hi! My name is Lady - I am a 2.5 year old, female, Australian Shepherd who loves to run around, play, learn and invest myself into whatever my human wants to do for fun.

I am crate trained, currently attend a structured doggy daycare and go to day trains to learn lots of things!

Lady is being re-homed due to no fault of her own and is looking for someone who is able to dedicate the appropriate time this sweet girl needs.

She has a lovely temperament and takes a little while to warm up to new people. But once she is comfortable, she will make a beautiful companion to a special someone and has so much love to give.

A perfect home for Lady would be someone who has time during the day to give her the mental/physical enrichment she needs. She would suit rural properly or a suburban household. However, not those who work full time.

It is important her future home gives her the dedicated time to build a relationship and continue her training. A home who has another dog is preferable but not a must. As long as this home is able to continue to build her confidence and social skills.
Lady is a shy but super sweet girl. She is a bit unsure of strangers and can take a little while to feel safe around them. But once that person has built a relationship with her, she sees so much value in those she becomes close to and has so much love to give.

Lady likes to go on adventures like bush walks and run around on a long - line. She really shines when she has a bit more freedom and prances with so much joy.

She is currently being fostered in a home with another dog (1 yr old kelpie) and she absolutely adores her. Lady really enjoys mouthy/wrestling games with her foster friend and also loves chasing each other around in the backyard.

Lady also loves a soccer ball and recently learnt to play fetch!

She loves to learn and through training you will have her undivided attention. Lady is very food motivated and enjoys working for her meals to give her that mental stimulation!
Lady is crate trained, has learnt how to fetch, can hold a down - stay as you walk across a field, knows basic commands and a quick learner.

Currently working on loose lead walking, impulse control and free shaping.
