My name is Lizzee and I am a 8 month old, 16kg border collie x heeler , looking for my forever home and family! I’m a beautiful girl with red socks and cute red eyebrows and you will fall in love with me!
I am a true-blue Aussie dog, a happy little Vegemite with a taste for the salty spread! More on that later.
I have a lust for life, I am told I have a beautiful smile and I wear it whenever I am around you! I adore cuddles with my foster family and will sit forever if you keep scratching behind my ears. I'm fine to be left alone at home while my family are out and about as long as I have a variety of toys (tough toys – I play hard!) I can entertain myself until you return for more cuddles. I’ll spend my time chewing my chew toys or doing zoomies – especially with my foster brother’s basketball! You should see me go!!
Walks are awesome! So awesome I confess I get a little extra excited, and I am practicing walking next to my foster parents instead of doing my best impression of a freight train lol . I hope you can help me remember this too. I also have to remember to be calm when I meet other dogs – I love them and it can be hard to contain my excitement at meeting new friends. But I love to play and would be happy if you have a dog brother who is well social with other dogs for me to play with but i am fine as an only dog
I love humans so much that my foster family has to keep reminding me not to spring for kisses (there may be some kangaroo in my DNA, not sure), and I am trying my very best to remember. You might have to help me with this too but i'm eager to learn , im mean checkout my breed,,,, im automatically super smart
Funny story, my foster dad tried to take me for a walk via the front stairs. There are so many! He even thought he could trick me with treats. Joke is on him – I’m not food motivated and saw right through his charades! I am much happier walking down the driveway slope, thank you very much. You can keep your stairs!
So I'm not a food motivated girl, for me it's all about the play and affection by my humans is my reward. I actually will only eat my dry food with a bit of Vegemite on it lol and yup my family have tried everything and that works
My ideal home would have a good-sized backyard. I have heaps of energy and need space for my daily zoomies, plus lots of good sniffs. I like kids and doing my best to remember to keep my paws on the floor and not jump for kisses (I remembered super well today – I am such a good girl! They keep saying so). If I forget though, I am little and light and I don’t hurt. It would be amazing to have someone who is around but i'm perfectly ok at home alone too

Adoption criteria
A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing. We request you do not apply if you are in a unit or terrace with a small yard as this will just lead to disappointment
A home with or without children,but as Lizzee is a little bouncy we are seeking school age and above dog savvy kids if they are in residence
A home with or without another dog.If another dog is in residence already we seek a Male of medium to large size who is well socialized and has a fun energy level as a BFF
A daily walk is a MUST and being mindful Lizzee does need some work on her lead pulling behaviors
Daily stimulation and training reinforcement is a must
A lot of love and training is essential as this beautiful girl has huge potential to be amazing in the right hands.
