About Milo
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A grassed yard for Milo's Zoomies
- Children over 8 years
Introducing Milo, he is such an inquisitive fellow quite interested in the world around him.
He is a lovely, friendly, confident dog and would make a great companion.
DO YOU LIKE TO WALK?
You would suit Milo down to the ground as he loves to walk, and he walks very well on the lead. He’s very responsive to leash direction. He is not keen on small dogs but is improving with every encounter.
He loves to play and chase the ball.
He is such an easy fellow and he doesn't resource or food guard.
He is fostered with our female greyhound, and they are just the best buddies. We think she has a little crush on him.
As for house manners he has progressed nicely in foster and is starting to understand to wait for a command before entering the house and to start eating his meals. He has been trained to go on his bed. As far as getting into the car unassisted - he can... but at his discretion (lol).
He is not fussy with his food and loves to eat everything!
Milo is in very good health now. But he is one lucky boy that R2R did a Heartworm test (he raced in northern Queensland), because he tested positive to this fatal condition. But it was in a very early stage and after a 3-month expensive treatment regime, he now has the “All Clear” to live a long and healthy life.
Alas, the severe treatment meant he had to be confined to a kennel for 3 months – so he now really deserves a loving home. Is that with you?
Families with older children 8 and up would be best. Milo does best with company so someone at home or working part time would be perfect.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
