About Ginny
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Children over the age of 8
Shy at first, Ginny has gotten more confident over the past few weeks in foster care. She likes to be near people and can be found snoozing next to you on the sofa or in her bed while you watch TV. She enjoys meeting calm people and has begun to show affection by coming up for scratches and rubs. She prefers being around children over the age of 8.
Beautiful Ginny walks well on the lead and enjoys short walks. She has also coped with a few longer bush hikes with plenty of sniffing stops. She has loved joining greyhound walks and interacts well with other, larger dogs. She ignores calm small dogs.
Ginny has gained confidence in working out steps, and absolutely loves the car!!!! She will hop straight in my Polo and fall asleep, happily stepping out to explore new walks. Ginny has also slowly gained confidence in walking near busy roads, and has gotten used to the construction noises across the road. She is becoming more comfortable in café environments; and certainly enjoys the pats from people.
Ginny loves toys, particularly ones that squeak, and enthusiastically plays with them throughout the day in short bursts. She also likes to gather them as she settles with you in different rooms. She plays quietly and we hardly notice that she’s here half the time!
Ginny would suit people who work from home either full time or part time and copes well on her own for up to 8 hours a day. We have found that after a nice walk, she will snooze the day away. She is now toilet trained and takes herself out to the garden during the day. Ginny has a calm energy that would absolutely thrive in a quiet home!
