About Macy
Hey so my name is Macy
I am a a 5 year and 2 month old Cavoodle
I am an ex-breeding girl who has now retired and since coming into care and we have made all sure vet work has been completed and now I am ready to find my furever home!
I can be nervous meeting new people so will need a moment when meeting. But when I love and trusts - it is so worth it. Nothing nicer then watching a dog who is unsure blossoming and showing you love.
My foster mum worked out what really helps me blossom - she worked out that if you put a lead on me, well it gives me super powers and makes me so much braver.
I am good with other dogs (but prefer a home with no puppies or young dogs) and I am currently with others with has helped build my confidence when meeting new people.
My ideal home would be where I can be inside and then outside at my choosing. I love to go outside and have a run around and then come back inside and lie on the top of the couch and watch the world. I don't normally try and lie all over you - I much prefer my own space in the loungeroom but the other night I did chill on the couch with everyone watching a movie and my foster mum was so excited (weird woman lol)
I would love a quieter home where I can go for walks and car rides - see the lead makes me so much stronger!
At nighttime I do like to sleep in my foster mum's room - but on my own bed please.
I can sit and walk on a lead but I don't know lots of other commands but my foster mum says my manners are still very good and I'm a pleasure to have at the house.
I have started doing zoomies in the backyard, while the other dogs do fetch and stuff with the ball. I am interested but still a bit unsure of that game. My foster mum says that I have a playful streak that just needs to come out.
I have not been tested on cats.
I do have a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure that you do remember that it’s a life time of grooming.
I am looking for a home where I will be allowed the time to settle and my humans will continue to help me build my confidence

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
