Aloe

I know that many of you have been waiting for an update and I do apologise but the news is all good!
As you can see from the before and after pics, Aloe is looking and feeling amazing.
He has had a couple of months of weekly injections, regular medicated baths and lots of love and attention and his life has changed forever.
When I look back at the first photo, my heart is absolutely broken. To think that this tiny little guy, at only 1 year old, had been through such hell is a very hard thing to understand. He was clearly suffering and in agony and his neglect is inexcusable.
I am happy to say that last week, Aloe was finally well enough to be desexed, the last step before he becomes available for adoption. Our vet is very happy with his recovery, and we are now ready to start the search for his happily ever after.
Aloe is very little. He is also a bit traumatised by his life of pain and can sometimes scream (as if he is being hurt) if he is picked up the wrong way or another dog is too rough or scares him.
For these reasons, we would like to find Aloe an adult only home, perhaps with one other small, gentle dog, where he can feel safe and loved and secure.
Aloe bonds very strongly to his people and would love it if his humans were home more often than not. He is also crate trained if needed but what he really wants is to be someone’s fur baby and be spoiled and adored.
Aloe is a sensitive little guy. He is good in the car and he would love to join his new mum or dad on all of life’s adventures. Although he is only 1 year old, Aloe is an old soul.
