Marlons Mum was a Fox Terrier and Dad labrador although obviously he was a Labradoodle looking at Marlon shaggy good looks
What’s stunner this young fella is.!!!!!!!!!!
He has an excited, energetic,happy demeanor about him so get ready to laugh and have fun because this big goofball will fill your heart with joy! He is full of life and full of love- with heaps of energy to entertain. Marlin is a 8 month old shaggy boy with the sweetest eyes that will melt your heart! Although make sure you don’t always give in to him because he is still learning about life in the family pack and needs some boundaries.
It's a little hard to assume what size he will be at full growth but based on his weight now at 18 kilos we are estimating 25 kilos or so.

This boy is still a pup so expect some puppy cheekiness about him and yup he has plenty lol
He is very excited around children, and can be jumpy/mouthy so is going to need ongoing training to teach him the rules of the house and to keep all four paws on the ground. He is learning to sit before he gets pats. He can be cautious of meeting new people and around large groups as he most probably hasn’t been exposed before. That said, he loves car rides and enjoys his walks. He is getting used to the noise and commotion and energy of suburban life but can be overwhelmed in high noise environments
He loves cuddles inside with his family, but cuddles can be brief before he is off and running again! He loves playing with his squeaky toys and chewing toys- make sure you pick up your socks, he does think it’s a fun game to steal things!! He is a happy boy but needs boundaries to learn his place in the family pack. Daily exercise to burn off some of his puppy energy is a must.
Marlon is at that age of daily training reinforcement is crucial and this also is fabulous for his mental stimulation and keeping his brain busy.
Obedience/training
Marlin has been learning a lot of obedience in a short time. We’re so proud of him! He sits, comes at short distances, is learning to consistently toilet outside (he needs reminding and prefers company while he goes!) and is showing immense improvement in general puppy manners by not jumping and licking constantly, he's extremely affectionate and needs to learn personal space with affection lol

Food
Marlin loves his treats and will do anything he can for a reward! He is fed premium puppy dry food. He will sit and take treats gently from your hand

Animal Social Skills
Marlin is comfortable being approached by calm dogs with good manners and can be a little more cautious around larger dogs but once she’s had a sniff he’s a happy chap. He has been tested with a large dog and quite happily went off for a walk with no issues. He will try to instigate play when comfortable so a placid playful female would be fine
He is intimidated by dogs that bark or are in his face as he is still a nervous pup learning about life’s social skills
We would love to place him in a home with a similar size gentle but playful female who can mentor him as he matures but not crucial

Bathing/Hygiene/Sleep/Toilet training
Marlin has a long shaggy coat so will need regular brushing and grooming so costs need to be factored in
Marlon does take time to settle at night on his own. He is not a fan of the crate and will scratch if he is contained so he’s best near his family, on the bed if he could. lol He can sleep outside under the large covered area and settle quite well
Marlon can hold on overnight but will need reminding to use the toilet at varying intervals during the day. Even if left outside during the day he will need reminding to go before coming inside as he can be a bit anxious and forget to go!
Exercise
Marlin likes his walks and does well with a couple of walks a day. He has energy to burn so an active family is a must. He walks well on lead with minimal pulling. He also really enjoys the mental stimulation of the Kong toys and other chews and being a pup is still in the chewing phase so things will need to be put out his reach when inside as he will stealth streak lol

Marlon will come with his own lead and harness . His personal toys and bowls
His home in a perfect world/ Adoption criteria
Marlin needs a family with time to dedicate to his training. Basic obedience group training would be ideal. He needs consistent boundaries and a lot of love, patience, and kindness.
. He is learning to enjoy being outside but spends most of his time inside when people are home so would need to included in inside life when his family are home
A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing. We request you do not apply if you are in a unit or terrace with a small yard as this will just lead to disappointment
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle puppy behavior.Children must also be mature enough to understand that puppies must be allowed to have “ down time” and plenty of sleep and not be disturbed. We feel it best he is not adopted to a home with children under the age of 12 due to his jumpy and boisterous behavior when excited
A home with or without another dog.If another dog is in residence already we seek a Female of medium to large size who is well socialized and tolerant of puppy behavior. We feel he would greatly benefit from a meteor dog
A daily walk is a MUST
Daily stimulation and training reinforcement is a must
A lot of love and training is essential as this beautiful boy has huge potential to be amazing in the right hands.
A home that are active and have good solid experience with higher energy cheeky puppies lol
We have not tested him ourselves but previous owner said he was good with Dog savvy cats
