About Mali
What a puppy! Mr Mali is incredibly cute and very sweet. His striking good looks and cuteness turns heads wherever he goes. Mali is beloved by all who he meets, and he befriends new people just as quickly. He doesn’t care how big or small people are, he thinks they should all be his new best friend. Mali is a fairly well balanced and brave puppy who is able to adapt quickly to most situations. He loves to play with his toys and have a run around the yard when it is cool enough. The hot weather is not for him – Mali finds a cool place to rest during the warmest part of the day.
While in care, Mali has met some other dogs who he has been polite with. We’re sure he would love to have a good rumble and play with some other doggy friends. Mali is expected to grow to a large size as the surrendering owner reported that the mother was a Rottweiler and the father a mixed breed. His new family will need to be committed to his continued socialisation and exposure to the world to ensure he grows up to be a well-adjusted adult dog. It would be ideal for his dog socialisation experience to be in the form of playdates with other known dogs to ensure ongoing positive experiences for him.
Mali has a load of learning potential as he is both food and toy motivated. He already knows how to sit, wait and come to his name, and he is learning to walk nicely on the lead. As with any large breed puppy, it is vital that Mali’s new family invest significant time and effort in his training. He is progressing well with his toilet training, but he still displays typical puppy antics like mouthing and chewing. Out and about, he is quite confident and more than happily chills under the table at the local café when you stop there. Mali travels well in the car and would benefit from crate training in his new home.
We are looking for a home for Mali with previous large dog experience and where he will be a loved member of the family. He can live with another adult dog who is already fully trained and ready to be a role model for a new pup. Otherwise, Mali will be suitable to be an only dog where someone is available to ease him into this transition by being around more often than not. Regardless, he will need new owners who have substantial time to invest in his development so that he can become the best dog he can be. Being a puppy, he could be integrated to live with other types of animals with appropriate training, and he would be suited to a home with dog savvy children used to large breed dogs. Mali is off to a great start in his foster home and is ready to continue his journey with his new family. He is going to become a very loyal and loving companion for his new owner and will bring much happiness to his new home.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
