About Thomas
Introducing Thomas!
Thomas is a Cattle x born approx 27th November 2011.
Thomas was brought in to us as an unmicrochipped stray & no one came to collect him. This sweet old boy LOVES cuddles and will climb on your lap as soon as you kneel or sit near him. We have found that he isn't a fan of water and he seemed unsure when we tried taking him indoors so we're not sure if he's ever been an inside dog. Given this information we were surprised to see that it looks like he might be toilet trained.
Thomas is non-reactive towards other dogs, however he did growl when a younger dog was too much in his face and he tries to avoid them as much as possible. For this reason we feel he would be best suited as an only dog.
Thomas was non-reactive towards cats & pocket pets, however his testing may not have been completely accurate as he was more focused on cuddling & staring longingly at staff during testing. We can say that he had cats hissing right next to him & Russell the rooster flap his wings while running past and Thomas paid no attention to them. We believe with a slow & controlled introduction he could be suitable to live with cats or pocket pets.
Thomas walks very well on lead and has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression towards humans.
This young (at heart) man is a very loving boy who is desperate to find an equally loving family he can spend the remainder of his years with.
Thomas' adoption fee is $300 and includes his desexing and lifetime registration.
Thomas is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations for his age.

Thomas is looking forward to meeting you and he is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
