About Mintie
No one that has met her doesn’t love this little Mintie!
Where do we start? Is it her stunning fluffy coat, or her adorable bob tail that is always wagging? Mintie is just simply gorgeous. She is such a happy puppy who loves everyone that she meets, eagerly making new friends. Mintie loves to play, bouncing around with her floppy puppy feet and playing tug with her toy. She is a confident puppy who is quite well-balanced. When playtime is done, she will happily wonder off to a spot to lie down and rest. In general, she has a pretty relaxed nature which enables her to handle new things and situations happily. Mintie loves to have her belly rubbed and get lots of pats. She also enjoys playing in the water on those hot days.
Mintie is currently in care with a large breed adult dog. They get along well, sharing beds, toys and having fun rumbling games together. Mintie is happy to meet other new doggy friends out and about, often presenting a cute little play bow to initial a game. She can be a little unsure of other dogs who are barking but once she knows it’s all ok, she is happy again. Mintie’s new family will need to continue her socialisation with other dogs. This would ideally be in the form of playdates with other known friendly dogs.
While in care, Mintie has started her basic training and is such a fast learner. She has learnt how to sit, walks pretty nicely on the lead and her recall is off to a good start. Mintie is expected to grow to a large size as the surrendering owners reported that the mother was a purebred Rottweiler and the father a mixed breed (please note that we did not sight the parents ourselves). It is important that her new owners are committed to her ongoing training to ensure that she becomes a well-trained adult dog. Her new owners will need to continue her toilet training and preferably crate training as well. Mintie travels well in the car and is a great café dog as she just plonks herself down under the table to chill out.
We are looking for a large breed experienced home for Mintie where she will be included as part of the family. She can live with another dog who is already well-trained and who is not too old to deal with her puppy antics. Otherwise, she can live as an only dog as long as someone is home enough to help her transition and attend to her training and socialisation needs. Mintie should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. She can be integrated to live with other types of pets with the appropriate training and guidance. Mintie is friendly with children but has typical puppy mouthing still so if there are kids in her new home it is best that they are older, dog savvy and interacting under parental supervision. Mintie is going to make a wonderful and loyal companion to her new owners. She is a head turner wherever she goes and deserves all the attention she gets.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
