Victor is a sweet 9 year old greyhound with a gentle temperament. He loves to nap and chill in your presence, and loves having company. He is very well house trained, and mostly likes to snooze and relax. He enjoys being around people so he will come keep you company wherever you are.

As Victor has a sweet and gentle temperament, it can take a little while for him to open up, but it’s totally worth it when he does! He will be excited to see you once a bond is built. He is good with other dogs, and seems to like children but doesn’t get along with cats.

Victor can be quite food motivated with the right treats - he lights up when there are Schmackos around! Because he is tall, it is most comfortable for him to have his food and water bowls slightly elevated, so that he can reach them.

He loves to cuddle up so a comfortable pet bed is ideal for Victor. He also likes to play with and bite flies, but doesn’t seem to like other dog toys like ropes and balls. He also likes being cuddled around the neck and will let you hug him like this. He also likes to rest his head in your hand and gaze into your eyes.

He may benefit from a backyard, or somewhere for him to watch the world go by. He can be startled by loud noises so city properties might not be the best for Victor.

He is very quiet and does not bark, and has moderate exercise needs. He is satisfied with a short to medium walk a day, but also needs other stimulation - he likes music when left alone.

He cannot climb up and down stairs so if your property has stairs he may not be the right pet for you!
