About Banana
Banana is a toy poodle born with congenital alopecia. This is a hair loss condition very similar to what people can have. Though he has little hair he has lots of heart. Banana is a very playful pup that loves nothing more than grabbing his toy or playing with his foster siblings. He is very loyal and loves to sleep in bed with you.
When it comes to birds he is a trouble maker he likes to chase them so a home without birds would be ideal.
He likes to ride in the car as long as he can be close to you.
He loves balls and will chase them all day. Once he gets attached to you, you can't loose him he will whine especially on walks, if you walk to far away from him. He is mostly crate trained but will need a refresher. He is a very energetic little guy that will need a lot of love to keep him busy. He loves to cuddle up on the couch with you and likes to sleep on your pillow at night. He needs regular baths and needs a medicated shampoo to aid with his alopecia. He likes to go on walks and is very food oriented. He doesn't start much trouble, and loves to play with anyone or anything.
This baby is available through application only to ensure an appropriate home is found to provide the care he requires. If you are interested please pop in to the clinic and fill out an application form.
Medical notes
All of our puppies and dogs come desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations (may require boosters at owners cost) wormed, flea treated, fully health checked and temperament tested. We recommend commencing their heart worm prevention at 6 months of age as we use the ProHeart injection. Adult dogs will require a heartworm test before commencing prevention.
This little guy does have congenital alopecia, this condition causes hair loss and balding. This gorgeous boy will need weekly baths with a medicated shampoo to prevent any bacterial overgrowth but otherwise if managed well there should be no other complications caused from his condition. He just will never have the full coat you would expect with a toy poodle.
He also is wearing a small cast at the moment due to a minor fracture in his toe that is being treated. This is unlikely to cause any long term problems once the cast has been removed.
