About Riley
Riley has had NO interest since we have been looking for his amazing forever home??
He is a beautiful boy and we are hoping his new people will see him soon!!
Here is Riley’s Story…
Was chained to a tree with no shelter or water sporadically. A lovely neighbour, eventually convinced the owners to hand over, but it did take money to get him safely into her hands.
We are looking for the right people to give Riley his new home.
Someone that understands working breeds.
Below is information from his foster mum.
Update on Riley
Riley has come so far since being with us. This boy is an absolute sweetheart!
He came to us with little training and no socialisation. He’s now a very polite and calm young man with lovely manners. He’s very intelligent and responds well to consistent training and boundaries.
He is a very smoochy boy who has a lot of love to give. Riley is very sweet, very loving and affectionate- he loves his people. He’s house trained and crate trained, so he is good inside. He loves to cuddle up on the couch. He thrives on being part of the family so is not a dog to be left to amuse himself in a backyard. He would also love another doggy companion as he is used to being with other dogs. He’s untested with cats.
He enjoys playing with his doggy mates at our local dog park and has a few best mates with the regular dogs. He gets on very well with our older dogs, he’s very respectful of them and he instinctively knows his place in our little Border Collie pack.
He has A LOT of energy and is very athletic, so needs daily walks, exercise, play and mental stimulation. If he doesn’t have that, his pent up energy will see him look for an outlet. He walks beautifully with a halter harness and has a daily walk with play time off lead.
His ideal adopted person or family will need to be active and understand the needs of an active working dog. He loves to swim, run around chasing a ball or frisbee and go for long walks. He is highly intelligent, and with his intelligence and energy he would be a great dog for fly ball/agility activities.
He will make a beautiful loyal companion for a single person or couple looking for an active dog to spoil, or an active family with older children who will include him in their activities.
He’s a very good boy!!!

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
