About Tarzan
** IN FOSTER CARE IN STANMORE**
Tarzan is a loving and excitable dog who loves his chosen human and is very food driven. A tiny 4kg package, Tarzan likes to follow his humans around the house and can get tangled up in your feet so knowing how to navigate tiny dogs in the house is essential.
Arriving totally unsure and worried, Tarzan continues to grow in confidence and learn new skills. He is learning lots of new skills, like housetraining and that his new favourite humans do return home but it's all a work in progress and he will require someone committed to continuing his training to ensure he's the best boy he can be.
Tarz adores other similar sized dogs, he would really benefit from another confident dog in the home to show him the ropes. He is a major sweetie who is still very much a puppy ready to take on the world!
MY IDEAL HOME: Tarzan would be best suited to someone who already has a small dog he could bond with. He loves copying his foster brothers so would be beneficial to have a companion to teach him how to be a dog. Otherwise he would need someone who is willing to take him with them on their daily activities as he is pocket sized and loves travelling in the car and loves being close to someone.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Tarzan can be 0-100 as he still has lots of puppy energy. He gets very excitable after dinner and loves playing and chewing on toys. He requires 2 x brisk walks per day, and also enjoys chasing/being chased at the dog park by the other puppies. Tarzan is good off leash as he doesn't like to stray too far away from his humans. He was be a little hesitant with big dogs and he is so small and will need some help navigating in that area.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Tarzan has met many children of all ages and is very tolerant and patient with them. He likes getting pats and is curious about meeting kids, due to his size kids 6 and up are best.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Tarzan is currently living with 2 small dogs and is getting along with them well. He is a playful and happy boy who loves company. Tarzan is not tested with cats

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
