About Chad
Chad is a lovely boy whose owner has met with an accident and can no longer look after him. Chad's owner was elderly and, as you can see from the photo, over indulged chad quite a bit! he is now on hills science rd food in order to shed quite a few of those kilos. No treats for chad for quite a while! he has a typical cavalier temperament and is a very sweet dog. Chad would suit a home with someone who will take him for regular walks and just dote on him. He is used to the quiet life but we think that once he loses some weight he will enjoy his life a lot more. Update 20 september: well, it's time for the weekly weigh in and after all the contestants have hit the scales this week paws biggest loser is chad !!!! he has made a mighty effort and attained a loss of 1. 3kg !!! after starting at a worrying 13. 4kg, he is now down to 12. 1kg and on the way to attaining the body he has told us he wants. Chad attributes his success to following his diet with the utmost devotion, counting every calorie and is very proud of the fact that he has not cheated, not even once. He tells us he is already finding it easier to get around and is confident that very soon he will be able to keep up with his active doggy pals. We look forward to seeing how chad does at paws biggest loser's next weigh in, about 10 days from now. Update 29 september: three cheers for chad. . . Once again he has astounded us with his success and has lost a further 900 grams, putting his current weight at 11. 2kg. That is a consistent weight loss of about 100 grams per day!! he is well on the way to his target weight of 8kg and feeling rather pleased with himself. Chad is sporting a new summer haircut and is off on holidays for two weeks, where he will be able to walk along the beach and swim with his foster pals. He has assured us that, even though he will be on holidays, he will not be forgetting his diet! congratulations chad, once again you are paws biggest loser. . . Update 16 october: chad has had his post-holiday weigh in and is down to 10. 4kg which means he has lost 3kg in a month. What a super effort!! he is looking so much better, almost unrecognisable as the same dog that arrived a month ago. Chad's energy level has improved dramatically, he now has a 'spring' in his step and is enjoying his daily walk. In fact he yaps with excitement when he sees his leash and loved going to the beach and swimming with the other dogs. Congratulations chad on your continued success. . . . You are still paws biggest loser!
Update 26 october: today chad hit the scales for his regular weigh in. . . . . . . He is now weighing in at 9. 9kg!!! \ congratulations chad you have lost another half a kilo. Although he has not lost as much as in previous weeks it is normal that his weight loss will slow down as he draws closer to his target weight of 8kg, (as any of us that have tried to lose weight know, those last couple of kilos are the hardest to budge!) \ well done chas, you remain paws biggest loser.
