Meet Shane,

a vibrant Kelpie boy who's ready to leap straight into your heart. Known for his exuberant energy, Shane is beloved for his playful, friendly nature. He believes every dog is a playmate, and he's always eager to take part in a good game of fetch.

Shane enjoys the company of both dogs and humans, coming to life around both. He's currently sharing his foster home with another two-year-old Kelpie male and a mixed breed. He's formed a particular bond with his foster sister, sharing endless games of chase and play-wrestling sessions.

Shane is a typical puppy, with the occasional mischief streak. Boredom is quickly cured by introducing him to a new toy, which he will enthusiastically chew and play with. However, behind his playful demeanour, Shane is an intelligent boy. He's picked up several commands like "come," "sit," and "drop" and is generally very responsive.

Walking on a leash is an enjoyable experience with Shane. He maintains a loose leash walk, and if you've got another pooch, he reviews it as a bonus, often interacting playfully during walks. Shane isn’t a fan of car rides just yet and may need a little patience and positive reinforcement to help him see that car rides can lead to fun outings.

Shane also boasts good house manners; he's progressing well with his toilet training and respects his boundaries around the home. He has mastered the use of the doggy door and is getting into the routine of going to the toilet after rising, meals, and before bedtime.

At home, Shane loves to follow his humans around, always ready to snuggle on the bed or the couch if given the chance. In fact, Shane might just be one of the greatest doggy cuddle bugs around. He also loves to sleep in the laundry room, feeling safe and secure in his space.

Like all energetic puppies, Shane requires daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep him content. He relishes outdoor adventures, from long walks to playtime in the backyard with his foster siblings.
