About Rosy
My name is Rosy, I am super friendly when meeting new people and like to bounce around and give lots of kisses to everyone in the room ( I really lack in personal space kisses lol) . I have a lot of energy to burn, so I will love to show everyone how high I can jump and how fast I can run around. I really like my toys, which consists of chew / squeaky toys.. But I also love my tennis balls⊠the more the better!!
I'm a very affectionate Poodle x Jack Russell terrier who adores fun and affection and I have a great zest for life as long as you can manage my super energetic personality lol
Whilst I am comfortable in saying hello to my fellow humans, I am shy/anxious towards other dogs. When I was first introduced to my foster home, I showed them that I was an obedient girl, that loves treats, that when motivated I can sit, lay down and shake hands.Im so very clever and really eager to learn\
I'm well behaved during the day. Whilst my foster owners work, I enjoy sleeping in my bed beside them, or playing with toys, or chewing on my toy bone. I go for a couple of small walks with them around the neighborhood each day⊠Iâm only little so I don't need long walks but I do love to go exploring every day please
Whilst out and about, I am happy to walk up and say hello to passers by, and potentially get to say hello to fellow furry friends if they are calm in nature. I love attention from other people, especially ones that will give me lots of pats and cuddles.
Favorite things
Playing with toys / Tennis Ball / Soft Teddy
Sleeping, Snuggling. Loves her cuddles, and will sit next to you when chilling on the sofa.
Enjoys walks around the neighborhood
People interactions
Is very friendly to people, young or older but can be very jumpy and excited so we don't feel she would be suitable for small children
. Has had no issues with small groups of people outside of shops etc. Is curious and wants to say hi to most people that walk past.
Obedience
Walking on a lead is improving. She can get distracted by other dogs or barking from the yard. After some reassurance she continues with her walk.
Would need a bit of work with dog socialization, as she may be a bit much for some dogs. She can be a little hit and miss with some dogs and can initially bark at some while out on walks
Understands what her harness is for, is excited to go for a walk as soon as it is on.
At the start of her foster stay, she had a little bit of separation anxiety - Although this has improved.
Have to be careful with the front door/car door as she does show signs of trying to sneak out - will need to make sure that yard is well secured as she can jump pretty high lol
Will need to work on her recall
Animal Social Skills
Have met other dogs during her walks, and may bark a little at first. She has had a number of close friendly interactions with calm dogs and she became excited and wanted to play. We believe she would be good around other calm dogs with a slow introduction and would benefit from ongoing dog socialization training
During initial interactions with dogs, it is highly recommended to be kept on the lead and controlled to ensure that she is comfortable with her surroundings.
Independance
When alone, has spent her time in the backyard under cover. Settles after a little bit of whimpering but has no issues being outside for short periods
Has toys, a bowl of dry food and a bowl of water to keep busy but she much prefers when her humans are home
Sleeping
Sleeps in a crate with a dog bed inside with a warm blanket
At the start of her foster stay, she would usually have taken 10 or so minutes to settle. Recently she has learnt to self soothe and at times puts herself into the crate (her safe space)
Sleeps all the way through the night from 10pm - 7am (no toilet breaks required)
Inside the home
Is toilet trained, have only had a few accidents
Can get into mischief, stealing socks, shoes, lol but she is a puppy lol
Loves cuddling up on the couch

Adoption Criteria
We feel that Rosy is best suited to an only dog home at this stage in her life as in her previous home she did not like the other dog in residence thus causing issues.
She is fine to socialize with nice playful dogs for playdates
A home with children is fine but we seek mature age 10 + due to her jumpy excitement at times
A home that her family members are home more often than not
A home where she is is predominantly inside with outside access
A home with secure fencing and grass to play
A home that will take her for a nice daily walk
A home that will keep her well groomed
