About Athena
This beautiful, affectionate girl is Athena and she is looking for her forever home (for approx. 14 years if well cared for). Please allow for this 14 year estimation whilst you are considering this adoption.
Athena is a stunning grey/silver tabby colour. Her big eyes, which don't miss much, are a deep gold colour. She is a gentle, shy girl who would like to have her new responsible cat guardians take care of her needs from now on. Please read on for Athena's requirements:-
NUTRITIOUS DIET AND CARE - high quality dry biscuits, yummy wet food and bowls of fresh, cool water. Wet food and water are essential for her hydration. Regular vet visits are also required throughout her life.
FRIENDS - Athena has lived with older teenagers and also successfully with a small dog. Athena has a beautiful ginger-tabby brother, Jasper, who is available for adoption. Imagine bringing both Athena and Jasper into your home - it would be filled with double the love, double the fun, double the purrs and you'd have an instant family.
INSIDE LIFESTYLE ONLY. Why? Athena has always lived inside and it's an excellent opportunity to continue with this lifestyle. A cat is never safe outside (even if you believe they are) and neither is the wildlife unfortunately. INSIDE ENTERTAINMENT - Please provide a couple of large cat scratchers near a window and also where people gather e.g. family room. Why? To protect your furniture, to keep Athena's muscles and nails healthy, and also cats love to go up high. Wand toys are also great entertainment for you and your cat to have fun and bond.
"LAUNCH ROOM" is a temporary area (bedroom or crate) that has all her essential items e.g. water, food, bedding, toys and litter tray. Athena can feel secure there if she feels overwhelmed. This helps with her transition to your new home and is definitely worth the effort in setting it up. Enquiries sent through PetRescue will NOT be answered. Please follow the process below
1) Please note the name of the animal you're interested in
2) Visit the RSPCA Queensland adoption site at www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt
3) Search for the animal either by type or location
4) View the animal's profile, and click the link to submit an application
5) RSPCA staff will contact you to inform you about the outcome of your application and to talk through the next steps if your application is successful!
