About Pippa - 6 Year Old Japanese Spitz (Trial)
Pippa is a gorgeous 6 ½-year-old, white, Japanese Spitz who weighs about 10kg.
For those interested in giving Pippa a forever home, a serious commitment to coat care must be considered. Pippa needs to be completely brushed at least once a week with daily spot brushing throughout the week to make sure her coat is well maintained. Twice a year, when the season changes, thorough brushing must occur every day to remove the malting hair and avoid matting.
Pippa is a playful dog who enjoys squeaky toys. She is uninterested in balls, but if she is presented with a toy that squeaks, she gleefully fetches and plays tug-of-war. Pippa will usually come when she is being called and will eat anything you present to her. Currently she eats a good quality dry dog food and home cooked food such as chicken or meat with rice and vegetables.
Pippa is strictly an inside dog. During the evening Pippa likes to be with her person and will sleep on the floor beside your bed all night. She is quite independent and is not fond of sitting on your lap but does like to be where you are. She is fine with other dogs but is untested with cats. She would be best suited to a home where children are over the age of 10.
Pippa is okay to be left on her own. She is usually left inside the house, whilst her foster carer is out, and she is calm and relaxed. Pippa is toilet trained, only having had one accident at her carers home. It is not certain if she can use the doggie door as her foster carer has the back door open for her.
Pippa is in foster care in Wallsend, NSW (Lake Macquarie). Pippa’s adoption fee is $600. She has had dental work done at the end of last year, is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and wormed.
