About Lana
Lana Turner was a famous movie star and whilst Lana is not as famous as she was, she is pretty and of good temperament. The name sounds a bit flash, but she really is a quiet country girl at heart. As you can see from her photo shoot, she is as pretty as a picture and has the quiet personality to match that. She loves people and cuddles. She enjoys playing with her siblings and chew toys and generally getting on with all and sundry.
On first meet Lola is quite timid and prefers when you are down at her level. It took her a day to warm up to the new home and the resident border collie but now they are best friends and even sleep together during the day. At night Lola prefers to be cuddled in humans arms (if she can swing it!) or at least touching you on the bed but if you tell her to get down she will find her bed and sleep on that all night.
She eats everything and anything in small amounts, loves chicken and a treat, which she can take it out of your hand softy when you tell her to be gentle. Sitting is the only other trick she is currently still learning but again you have to be on her level or she quivers. Lola loves the beach and where she is free to run as long as she can, she is quite fast but doesn't stray too far from the other dogs or people. she is unsure about water but it has been very windy and the waves are coming in quite fast, for a little dog I think that would be scary too. She hides when there are loud noises around, or when something has been dropped, but finds comfort in other dogs.
Lana is a mixed bag when it comes to her heritage. It is believed she must have some miniature whippet in her along with a few other breeds. A real Pilbara special but with a gorgeous soft temperament. Great on the lead and she does not bark, even when the resident dog barks at people at the door. If you can find a place for Lana in your plans and are prepared to be patient whilst she learns, apply to adopt today!
