Molly (Black & White)
Rapha (Blue & White) - MEDICAL needs
These 2 gorgeous border collies are ready for their furever home!
Molly & Rapha have been with each other since they were puppies, so ideally we would like them to go to a home together however they can be separated for the perfect home, so don’t hesitate to submit an application for just 1.
Both Molly & Rapha are house, toilet and crate trained. They are both currently in foster care with rabbits and chickens and they are not fazed by them what so ever (through a fence of course).
Both walk well on a lead, have had basic training and know how to sit and lay down. They are great in the car and both love to go for a swim in the river! Both are extremely food motivated which makes for easy training!
Molly loves to greet you with her woo woo’s and a tennis ball. She absolutely LOVES chasing the ball, bringing it back is another story 😂 She craves cuddles and will gently nudge your hand for pats or stare at you with her gorgeous puppy dog eyes until you give in! Molly is slightly overweight however she is on a diet and getting daily exercise so she should be back to normal in no time!
Our gorgeous Pedigree Rapha... well he is a very pretty boy but doesn’t have too much going on up there 😂 but he never fails to make you smile with his awesome head tilt and loves a good game of tug o war! Raf loves attention and will happily be by your side all day 🥰 He can be slightly anxious in new environments but all he needs is a little bit of reassurance. He also has pedigree papers (not that it means much to us).
Raf & Molly may be rehomed with another quiet dog, pending a meet and greet. They absolutely love their foster siblings however they aren’t a fan of puppies and boisterous dogs who get in their face.
They may be rehomed with high school age kids who know how to respect their space.
MEDICAL
Rapha has been diagnosed by a vet with “Border Collie Collapse”. BCC is a nervous system disorder that is triggered by intense exercise & heat. It is characterized by the sudden onset of weakness, collapse, unsteady gait or disorientation after vigorous exercise. Dogs usually recover within 5-30 minutes after cooling down.
Border collies can live normal healthy lives with BCC, Rapha has only had 3-5 episodes during his life. Unfortunately there is no treatment or cure so Rapha needs to go to a home that will take him for shorter walks more often and keep him cool during the summer! We can provide more information for you about this upon adoption 😊
*They were both extremely matted before they came into care so needed to be shaved however their hair will grow back in 6 months time with the onset of their winter coat coming in.
