About Zuko
Zuko is one tough mother pupper!
This gorgeous little dude may not be the biggest of his litter but he is definitely the bravest, excited to get out and explore the world!
Zuko, his mum and siblings were brought into care after they were victims of a house fire when he was just a wee baby. Sadly he did received significant burns in the fire which are all healing well, he does have scars on his back which will lessen over time but will always likely be there. They don't cause him any pain and are really just a reminder about what a little trooper he is!
Zuko has grown up in a loving environment with his mum a German Shepherd, cattle dog mix... (dad is unknown but we think he was rather large) and he has been exposed to cats. He is a beefy boy and eating is top of his priority list ;) He would greatly benefit from being enrolled in puppy school so he can learn and build on his social skills.
MY IDEAL HOME: Zuko would suit a variety of homes, a big family or doting couple. He is of the age where puppy school would be of great benefit, as is continued positive socialisation in a variety of environments and with a variety of dogs that will calmly show him the ropes. It's important to consider and communicate a plan for how you will integrate a puppy into your home, Zuko currently needs company more often than not so a plan to navigate this should be outlaid.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Being a wee baby, Zuko is a mix of bitey puppy chaos and nap king. We can safely assume as he grows she will be an active medium sized dog that will require daily exercise and enrichment.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Whilst he hasn't met a ton of children, we are pretty comfortable saying he would be okay with kids that understand bitey little puppies.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Zuko currently lives with his siblings and two cats. He loves his siblings and we believe an older dog in the home who doesn't mind a bit of puppy rowdiness would be awesome for Zuko.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
