About Wookie
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Wookie is a quiet and gentle dog who enjoys being on her human's lap, either getting lots of cuddles and belly-rubs or on her very own cushion or corner of the couch just chilling out. Wookie follows her foster carer from room to room watching everything that she does as she likes to know where she is and what she is doing. Wookie enjoys going for walks and is very social with other dogs. She can be left alone at home without complaint but of course it's much nicer when her carer is at home to give her plenty of 'wookie time'. Wookie is house trained and loves her food, eating anything on offer and always looking at her carer asking 'is that all'? \ she isn't a fussy eater and is a gorgeous, sweet natured dog who will make a wonderful addition to a family without very small children and who have another dog for company. Wookie would be ok as an only dog providing she is not left alone while her owners are out at work every day. She must have access to the house via a doggy door and is definitely a house dog. Wookie has a gorgeous coat that is fairly low maintenance and will just require a bath every few weeks, a weekly brush and a bit of a trim. Updated 5 april: wookie has been in foster care for a few weeks and her carer has been taking her on regular walks, something \ we think she has not been used to in her previous life. It has come to light that wookie has a luxating patella which causes her to lift one of her back legs at times during the walk and a vet examination has shown that she will require surgery on her patella to correct the problem. Wookie will need to recuperate for about one month after the surgery and, once she is fully recovered, will be available for adoption again. As patella surgery is quite expensive we will put any donations received in the near future towards wookie's surgery
wookie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $350 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. She has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic). If you would like more information on wookie or to arrange to meet her, please phone 0466 690916 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading. Before phoning or emailing, please check denise's rescued dogs in foster care on www. Paws. Com. Au for any updated photos and to make sure this dog is still available for adoption. Listed 3 march
