About Ollie
Hey! I’m Ollie. I’m an 18 month old border collie with a heart of gold.
I’m a smoochy boy who loves to be near my humans and loves a cuddle. I’ve also grown up around other dogs and would need another doggy sibling in my new home. I’m not suited to a house with cats, but I get along well with all dogs I’ve met, and have wonderful manners.
I’ve had a lot of changes in my life recently, and so I am struggling a little with being left alone, which is to be expected. In a past life I did settle well, so we expect this will improve as I learn to settle in my new life and once I have a doggy sibling to keep me company. I would still prefer a home where my humans are around more often than not, particularly as I settle in.
I travel well in the car, am house trained and I walk wonderfully on the lead, keeping a loose lead most of the time. However being around traffic is new to me and I do lunge and bark at cars if moving at speed. Foster mum says this is improving rapidly, and I’m beginning to sit and wait for my treats instead of lunging in fear, but this is something that will need to be addressed immediately and consistently for my safety.
One thing about me is that ball is LIFE! I’m an energetic breed, and need a home that will provide me with physical and mental stimulation, or else I will find my own. In saying that, I have an awesome off switch and can lounge around the house once my needs have been met.
If you’ve got the time, effort and breed knowledge for a sweet, smoochy dog with a willingness to please, then I’m your man.
Ollie is located in VIC.
