Magpie & Brownie💖Shih Tzu x JRT(On Trial 15/12/23)

These two are easier than one😍! Magpie (girl) and Brownie (boy) are a bonded pair of Shih Tzu x Jack Russell Terrier dogs. They’re only 2 years old. They are very easy dogs to have around. They keep each other company and will make you smile every day to see how much they love each other. 💕

💎 Magpie (we call her Maggie) and Brownie are just the sweetest, most loving couple. They might be brother and sister. They get along very well with other dogs. They love being around people and will happily follow you around the house with wagging tails. They like to sit next to you but they aren’t clingy.

They prefer to be indoors so they’d be fine in an apartment with a balcony or in a villa with a small courtyard. They are housetrained. They don’t bark much, even when the other dogs bark, they usually don’t join in.

They don’t shed so they’re good for people with allergies and won’t drop hair around the house. Of course, that means they’ll need professional clipping approximately every 6 weeks. Magpie is black, grey and white and the smaller of the pair at 4.8kgs. Brownie is brown and weighs 6.2kgs.

Because they keep each other company, they are fine at home alone while you go to work.

Maggie and Brownie are not used to going for walks so their foster carer is slowly getting them used to being on a lead; just in the backyard for now. With some more time and practice, they’ll learn that walks are safe and fun.

They haven’t been tested with cats but they’re placid dogs so they’d probably be fine. They love food and treats. They’re a little bit timid so they’re not suitable to a busy household with young children.

Maggie and Brownie came from a country pound but were rescued right away before spending the night. They were dirty and matted and a bit thin but were otherwise in good condition. Their coats are growing in beautifully and are now soft and pretty. They will get even more beautiful as their coats grow a bit longer.

Maggie and Brownie have been vet checked and are healthy. They’re young and eager to please and ready to find their forever home where they’ll bring lots of love and amusement.

* wants easy-care companions who are ok home alone,
* no children under 12 years old,
* other dogs are fine,
* lives in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC or SA.

Magpie and Brownie are in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). ⭐️They are available for adoption on the east coast of Australia but you must come to meet them and drive them home.

Magpie and Brownie's adoption fee is $1,200 for the pair and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked, and microchipped.
