About Cupcake
*In foster care in Petersham, Sydney*
Cupcake is a sweet, calm and lovely tortie girl who's adjusting to life without responsibilities now that her babies are weaned!
Born in the backyard of an apartment block, Cupcake was a teen mum when she arrived in Maggie's care. She seems very grateful to be safe and loved in her nice warm foster home. Having missed out on her kittenhood she's only now learning how to relax and play and is now enjoying watching the outside world from her window.
While somewhat shy at first, it doesn't take long for Cupcake to make friends and she particularly likes a chat with her foster human in the mornings :) She's independent by nature and loves snoozing in her bed after a play session carrying around her yellow chicken toy or a piece of string. In the evening she enjoys sitting close by her human on the couch - she's affectionate but not yet a lap cat (yet - never say never!). She does adore a good pat or chin scratch!
Darling Cupcake also likes to sleep with her human on the bed, preferably with a little play with the bed covers before she settles down for the night :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Cupcake is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: A loving and patient home with a single person, couple or family with older kids will suit me down to the ground! Someone I can follow around the house and have a chat with.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I've discovered how fun it is to play now! I also like to watch the world go by in the window or behind the screen door, followed by a snooze in my bed. I'm pretty easy going.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't met any children at this stage, but I think I'd enjoy the company of calm kids of at least school age (8+) who'll give me endless pats!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: With the exception of my babies I haven't had exposure to other cats, and I haven't met any dogs. I suspect I'd get on with other relaxed, Zen-energy kitties if we were introduced slowly and carefully.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
