About Jack
Introducing Jack, a nineteen month old German Shepherd who is eager to shower you with comfort, happiness and unyielding companionship. This brilliant young dog is currently with a nurturing foster carer in ACT and can't wait to show you what a wonderful addition he could make to your household.
Trained in obedience, Jack has shown exceptional ability to listen and learn, proving that he's not just another cute face. He's a robust pup filled with boundless energy, always game for any outdoor activities or even a fun training session.
While Jack hasn't been tested with cats or pocket pets, he's perfectly happy being the bold protector of his beloved human pack. He's a natural social butterfly who loves meeting new people and lavishing them with his lively spirit.
At home, Jack needs to be considered an important part of the family, as he's protective and loyal. He requires lots of pats, attention, and playtime to maintain such a lively spirit. His extraordinary intelligence and love offer a sense of companionship like no other, and once you gain his trust, you'll find a friend for life in Jack.
If you understand the unique characteristics of a German Shepherd and have previously owned this breed, Jack could be your perfect loyal companion.
Please note: If you live in Queensland or Victoria and you think you have the right home for Jack, we are open to considering you. However, you'd need to be able to drive with your family to meet Jack, and should things not go as planned, you'd need to take responsibility for returning him back to Canberra or help us rehome from your location. If Jack sounds like your kind of companion, please select "Enquire about Jack".
Medical notes
Jack is microchipped and vaccinated and will be desexed either before going to his new home or soon after.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
