About Dali
Little Miss Dali - this little pocket rocket has it all. The sweetness, the smarts, the energy, and the sociability.
This little girl is super sweet and loving. She is the type of dog who will be forever grateful to her owners for the life they give her. Dali looks at you with those soulful eyes, a happy smile and that waggy tail – all of which just speak to you and makes your heart melt. She hit the jackpot in her foster home as her foster carer just happens to also be a dog trainer who absolutely adores her and cannot stop singing her praises.
Dali may only be small at just 14.5kg, but she has a big personality. She loves snuggling up with you on the couch and has a very affectionate nature. Dali absolutely LOVES children. When meeting new adult, she will forget any shyness after half a second and then she becomes your new best friend. As much as she is great with children, we are looking for an adult only home for her. Dali is working on her calmness, and kids in the home will just make her too happy and excited, creating a tornado of fun.
Dali is a social girl and is fantastic with dogs. She loves to have a play with her doggy friends; however, she can get a little too carried away. Her new owners will need to be confident to guide her to calm, appropriate play when she gets too excited. If other pups are rude or rough, she will try and police them it if allowed and this will also need to be managed as well. Her foster carer will be able to provide guidance on what should be done here. Dali is best suited to playdates with known dogs in controlled environments rather than random dogs, so will not be suited to dog park environments. She is cat friendly and has previously shared a home with a cat happily.
When we say she has the smarts, we mean it! Dali is a pleaser. She wants and seeks out your guidance, and she will follow it. Dali is crate and toilet trained and knows sit, place and stay. She is happy and confident walking on lead and will check in regularly to make sure your happy with her behaviour; however, she is still learning to ignore other dogs when passing them on walks. Dali is perfect in the car, on visits to the local café and will wait patiently tied up while you duck into the local store. At home she can be left alone without an issue, either in her crate or free in the house as she is not destructive. Being such a smart girl, Dali does require a good amount of mental stimulation to ensure she is content so her new owners should be ready to continue on her training journey and can look forward to teaching her lots of fun things.
Dali is an active girl who absolutely loves her walks, hikes and bike rides. Anything that is exercise or outside makes her heart happy. She even likes a good day out at the beach as well. Dali will need a new owner who can give her a substantial amount of physical activity to keep her happy and healthy. She currently does a 1 hour slow walk, basically at snails pace, and that is the most challenging part of her day. Training for the rest of the day involves obedience training, recall, and walks around busy areas to practice neutrality and proper socialisation. Her reward is then off leash hikes, bike rides, and park walks with doggy friends.
We are looking for a home for Dali with an active single or couple who can share and enjoy her enthusiasm to learn and adventure. She is able to live in any type of home environment including units as long as her mental and physical needs are met. We think it would be best for Dali to be an only dog in her new home – there would be less distractions for her during training and it would allow her new owners to focus all of their attention onto her. Dali thrives on routine and guidance, which stems from her willingness to please. She will be happiest with owners who will give her direction and can appreciate how much she wants to listen. Dali is such a rewarding companion to have around and will bring a lot of energy and joy to her new home.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
