About Nala
Introducing Nala,
Nala is a gorgeous 1.5yr old Staghound x girl
an enchantingly beautiful girl with a heart full of love to give. Nala might start off as a shy and nervous pup, distant from her new surroundings and new people. But give her time to warm up and what you will have in your hands is a lovable, fun, and wonderfully lazy canine companion.
Naptime is Nala's favorite pastime; she can doze anytime, anywhere, especially if you're stroking her head. Her preference for night sleeping is quite adorable – she likes to be near you, ideally in your room so she knows you're around. Currently, she feels safe snoozing in a crate covered halfway with a blanket.
Nala loves canine companionship; a quiet and gentle dog companion helps her feel safe and settled. She enjoys spirited play sessions with her terrier friend, especially when they engage in delightful games of 'tug of war' and 'run with the toy'. However, Nala's perfect day isn't complete without plenty of human companionship too. She's usually a bit mischievous, especially when left alone, but it's all in good fun. All her toys are fair game!
Despite her initial shyness, once comfortable, Nala develops a deep bond with her human companions. She has a soft spot for children and has become inseparable from the 10-year-old in her current home once they built trust. As for men, it's a slow process, but with patience, Nala does learn to trust them.
Nala hasn't been tested around cats, and it's important for her new family to know that she loves a big backyard to stretch her legs. Chasing her dog friend and doing zoomies around the yard is one of her favorite activities.
Patience is key when it comes to walking Nala as she tends to get anxious with unfamiliar sounds and sights. Once comfortable, she enjoys car rides, looking out the window with her ears flapping in the wind.
The new family adopting Nala will need to understand that she has overcome a traumatic past and requires a lot of love, patience, and understanding. Given time, she'll show her true colors: a lovable, lazy girl who asks for nothing more than a bit of your time, lots of head strokes, and plenty of naps.
