About Ty
Ty is a big goof ball who entered the shelter with his family... and yes by family I mean his doggie family which included his wife Lucca and there 5x puppies who are all now available for adoption as well.
We have separated this beautiful family up so that when they go to there new homes they aren't missing each other to much and they have all made new friends which they are LOVING!!
Ty Is hanging out with Junior (Available for adoption also) and they were best friends at first site! Its beautiful to watch them run around and play together.
Toilet trained and would love a home where he can be inside as part of the family, he would lay on your lap on the couch then when ANY family member moved he would follow them around... so never again will you go to the bathroom alone...
Friendly with everyone he comes across and just loves meeting new people so really the more friends your or the kids have over the better in his eyes! Ty doesn't jump up and is super well mannered when it comes to that, like I said earlier he is just a big goof ball. Happy to live with kids who are use to being around BIG dogs who weight around 44kilos.
Previously lived with a cat and they got along well. So if you have a cat that enjoys being around dogs then definitely come in and have a look at Ty. However you would still need to introduce the cat and Ty slowly as they have not meet each other before so this could still be something that takes a few months before being able to leave them alone.
Ty loves to play with toys and will happily chase a ball, weather he brings it back or not is a different story...
Ty is a beautiful dog and will be an awesome best friend. He would be a perfect dog to do some training with and will be awesome and happy to be around you and the family.
To book a meet and greet with Ty please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
