About Samwise - Located in Preston
Greetings, potential human! I'm not your average feline—no sir-ree! I'm a dashing, cuddly gentleman with dreams bigger than a jumbo-sized scratching post. I've got my sights set on a career that's a bit unconventional, you see. Living scarf? Motorized engine? Why not both? I'm a multitasking mouser.
In my free time, I'm not your run-of-the-mill kitten. I'm a playful, adventurous fluffball who's always up for a game of "Chase the Unidentified Moving Object." Spoiler alert: It's usually my own tail. I'm seeking a companion who appreciates the art of snuggling—bonus points if you're a professional pillow provider.
Picture this: I'll follow you anywhere, perched on your shoulder like the purr-fect parrot. Need a conversation buddy? I've got a knack for talking your ear off. Just imagine the tales I could tell about the mysterious red dot and the elusive feather wand.
But fear not, dear human, for I'm not all chatter. I've mastered the art of the gentle purr, capable of serenading you into a blissful state of relaxation. I'm not just looking for any human, though. I want someone who understands the importance of a top-notch food selection, a drinking fountain that rivals a feline oasis, and a warm lap to call my own.
And hey, if you've got aspirations for a whiskers model, look no further. I've got the whiskers for the job—smooth, sleek, and ready for their close-up. If you're looking for a delightful, whisker-twitching companion who can bring joy and laughter into your life, look no further. I'm the purr-fect match for you!

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
