About Missy
Introducing Missy: a sweet, endearing pooch with an enormous heart. Our Missy is a gentle soul with an affectionate nature that shines through when she's around her family. Though somewhat shy at first, with a bit of patience and a gentle touch, she quickly becomes a loyal and devoted companion.
Missy has had some challenges in her past that have left her feeling nervous with new people, especially men. Despite this, Missy's resilience has taught her the ability to love again, warming up in her own time and embracing the companionship of her human family. Missy is particularly drawn towards single women and children, often seeking solace in their company. She has a special love for kids, providing comfort and companionship, and even acting as a sort of canine ‘comfort dog’ when they’re feeling upset.
An ideal day for Missy would involve following her favourite humans around the house - she is a bit of a Velcro dog, always keeping her family members in sight. Missy revels in the simple joys in life like car rides and cosying up on comfy beds. She also enjoys basking in the sun and exploring her surroundings. However, it’s important to ensure that she’s secure in her environment to keep her from trying to dig out of the yard due to her mild anxiety.
With her vibrant spirit and warm heart, Missy will bring immense joy to her new home. Whether it's a single lady, a family with kids, or an understanding man willing to give her the love, kindness and patience she needs, Missy is sure to return tenfold in devotion, cuddles and companionship.
Missy happily gets along well with cats and other dogs.
At the heart of it all, Missy's looking for a family who will ensure she feels safe and loved as she continues her journey of overcoming her fears with her new loved ones. Trust us; she's worth every minute of effort you put in!
Medical notes
Missy is a small to medium size dog at about 14kgs.
Has some scaring on her back which we do not know the background on but does not seem to bother her.
