About Lucky
Get ready to meet Lucky, the sweet-natured German Shepherd who is warmer than sunshine. She has a resilience and charm that you can't help but admire.
Lucky was found wandering the streets of Sydney, malnourished and heavily pregnant. She was immediately taken into care. Under the safety and experience of one of our foster carers two weeks later Lucky gave birth to six puppies.
This amazing female German Shepherd once showed how gently commanding she can be, proving herself as a nurturing mother full of genuine care and devotion. Now, having left her own maternal duties behind and stepping into a better life, Lucky is ready to share her loving heart and dynamic spirit with a new family.
As a German Shepherd breed, she is naturally intelligent, alert, and protectively loyal. She could fit wonderfully with those who have an active lifestyle and enjoy taking long walks. Lucky also adores lounging around after a game of fetch or exploring in a dog-friendly park.
Since she has changed foster carers we've discovered how social she is with small, medium and large dogs including other German Shepherds which proves she has an impeccable temperament. Lucky loves to run free in open paddocks but will regularly look for you and be by your side on walks. Lucky truly loves to be with you but will adapt to routine which includes being part of her family.
With her past behind her, Lucky is now focused on her new life of paws up and belly rubs. As caring as she is, this sweetheart loves nothing more than reciprocating that affectionate bond with her human counterparts. Honestly, it's hard not to fall for her—that friendly tail wag, that endearing head tilt, and those heart-melting eyes.
Her sweet disposition suggests she would be a great addition to a family with older children or one that enjoys a relaxed and peaceful lifestyle. However Lucky has spent time with her foster carer's grandchildren aged 3 and 5years old and was very gentle around them. Adoringly robust and equally loving, our Lady Lucky is eager to have space to stretch, romp and exercise, then laze under the shade, and confidently watch over her new home.
Once you meet Lucky, you would realize, there's more than luck at play. With her, you're not adopting a dog, but you're bringing home a bundle of joy and an amazing friend. Surely, the pleasure would be all yours.
If you think you can give me Lucky a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Lucky".
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet Lucky. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Lucky is microchipped and vaccinated and will be desexed in a few months time on vet advice after having puppies.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
