About Cotton STA011564
Cotton is a young girl filled with potential, looking for the right human to help uncover it. This reserved feline has a history that might be a little different from other cats, but we believe it only adds to her charm.
Through her timid exterior, lies a girl eager to trust and to receive the love she deserves. She would benefit from a caring and experienced cat human who's understanding and patient, someone who knows that with time and care, her loving personality will shine through.
Her ideal home would be a quiet and calm environment without children or dogs, where she would have the space to roam and explore at her own pace. In addition to this, Cotton will need to be adopted with another feline or into a home that already has a feline member who's looking for a little sister to nurture.
Cotton is truly unique and represents an opportunity for both herself and her future owner to grow together. She just needs that special someone who can look past her initial reservations and expose the bright, loving girl that we know she is. Once she has found her confident stride, you will have a companion who is both loving and endlessly fascinating.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
