About Charli
Only available for adoption within NSW or ACT
Profile and needs in a home.
Charli is an 18-month-old Mini Pinscher looking for my forever home. She is looking for a quiet home in a quiet area.
She is still quite timid and scared when she meets new people, big or small will need a home that will be patient and kind with her and allow her to settle in at her own pace. Once she is settled you will see how much love she has to give.
Charli is super smart and has learned how to use the dog door and picked up toilet training quickly but does have the odd accident. Her new home will be a new environment so her new owner will need to set her up to succeed advice can be given if needed.
Charli loves her foster sister most of the time and they love to wrestle and chase each other. We would prefer that Charli go with another, small, friendly, playful dog who is up for a play once Charli has settled in.
Charli had little or no experience in the outside world prior to coming into our care. Her care has been getting Charli out on walks and Charli now loves her walks. Charli will need a home that can continue to get her out for walking at least twice a day for a decent walk whilst making sure that she is not overwhelmed when outside of the home.
Charli is a very busy/active little girl once she has settled in so will need a home that is reasonably active.
Charli can be wary of other dogs on walks and will sometimes bark at them so quieter areas are best for her walks and definitely no dog parks for this young lady at this stage.
Charli will need a home where she can sleep in the bedroom either on your bed or in her own bed. Charli does love to wake you up early and jump on the bed for a cuddle, and of course cuddles on the couch are a must.
She loves having access to a garden to potter and lie in the sun so a home with a garden or courtyard would be the best fit for her.
Charli is ok to be left at home with her foster sister but not for too long so would not suit a home where her new family are away for long periods of time.
She is not used to being in the car but she is getting better. This is still a bit of a work in progress so her new family will have to continue helping her with car travel so as not to regress on the gains she has made and also continue to take her to new quiet places
Charli would not suit a home with younger children, but it would be ok if they visited sometimes provided, they were kind and respectful of animals.
If you would like to meet Charlie send us some detail on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your location, contact number, your dog and any other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Charli would be alone, where she will have access in the home, where Charli would go if you went away and could not take her with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide.
