The sweetest of sweet puppies, Atticus, is now available for adoption - and trust us, if you are looking to adopt a small-medium family dog who is great with kids, cats and dogs, Atticus is going to be your guy. His gorgeous smooth jet-black coat, deep black eyes and velvet soft ears make him irresistible to pat and cuddle - and this boy just loves to be loved! If his adorable intense gaze and innocent wide-eyed wonder at everything the world has to offer doesn’t melt your heart, the adorable little cravat he was born around his neck surely will! Atticus is a classic staffy - a fast and furious galloping brick on legs who wants to play aaallll the games, but who falls in an adorable exhausted heap snuggled up to his humans on the couch at the first chance he gets. Atticus is a playful, friendly and super-smart pup and he will make a wonderful best friend to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.
Atticus has been fostered in a home with three large, boisterous resident dogs and also his male litter mate. He is a very well-mannered, respectful pup, who is confident enough to invite other dogs to play with him, but is also very submissive and is the first to run back to his foster mum if things are starting to get a little wild. He genuinely loves playing with other dogs and we would love to see him go to a home with a tolerant, playful and polite female dog to be his new best bud.
Atticus has been in foster care with three dog-savvy cats. He was absolutely fascinated by them to begin with but is now completely unfazed by them. He could live very happily with a confident cat or two in his new home.
Atticus and his litter mate have been on a few walks with the resident dogs in his foster home out in the back paddocks. He is a devoted little follower of his foster mum and has never wandered far from her. He comes bounding back to her at full puppy speed for cuddles and reassurance as soon as he is called. Like all dogs, Atticus will require a walk outside of his home every day.
Atticus currently sleeps overnight in a large crate with his litter mate and they are both happy to go to bed in their crate with a few treats thrown in.during their awake time!). The rest of the day is spent playing inside and outside, and napping on their dog bed inside before settling down for the night in their crate.
Atticus is truly adorable - he is so placid and smart, and would make a lovely addition to a wide range of families. He is fun and playful while also being the best snuggle-buddy on the couch at the end of the day. He would love to go to a home with an existing female dog of any breed or size, provided she is mature, stable and well-socialized.

Adoption criteria
A home with a nice size yard that is has secure fencing has shade and shelter from the elements
Children in the home would be great but we seek dog savvy mature children of school age to prevent accidents of puppies being tripped over
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young pup as teething is a thing that will cause inexperienced young children to become upset when the puppy chews their toys and or the children.
Dog Savvy cats will be fine
A home where the puppy will attend puppy school and be treated as a member of the family
If another dog in the home we seek a well socialized female WHO MUST be well socialized with other dogs ( this is a deal breaker)
