Stallone

Our gorgeous little Dachshund x is now seeking a special and patient home to welcome him in and show him how to be loved.
Beautiful shy Stallone will demand attention and constant pats once he gets to know you, but unfortunately he had limited socialization with humans and other animals before arriving in care. Stallone will need to find a loving home who will have the time to socialize him and not push him too quickly or expect too much from him straight away. New sounds will make him jump , however he will come back to explore. He loves food and will always say hello if a treat is involved.
Stallone loves playing with the other dogs in the house and loves toys that he can chew on, especially soft toys. Stallone also has a love for boxes.
Interaction with humans -
Stallone loves meeting new people if they come with treats, he does not like it when humans who he is not comfortable with try and reach over his head to pat him or to the side, Stallone prefers chest rubs. Once confident he will allow pats all over and will demand them. He will sneak into bed with you for a quick cuddle at 4am while trying to build confidence with you.
Stallone is a very smart dog but due to his lack of socialization he has not been trained. While in care we have been working on bringing out his confidence especially with humans. It will be extremely important that Stallone attend dog training, for both training and socializing. He will also need to start going for daily walks once his confidence grows in his new home.
Due to Stallone fear of things unknown we will be seeking a cat free home
Stallone is currently living with seven other dogs of all shapes and sizes and gets along fantastic with all of them. If you have a dog in residence they would need to be female and dog social. We would prefer Stallone to go to a home with another dog as it help bring out his confidence
Stallong currently eats twice a day a mixture of premium dry food and either boiled chicken, or mince with veggies. Stallone has no food aggression. Stallone is very food oriented which help with making him your friend
Stallone currently sleeps on one of the humans bed, however when he first arrived he slept on a dog bed

ADOPTION CRITERIA
Stallone requires time and patiences from his new owners. A home with grass, shelter, and secure fencing.
A home with another dog, who is well socialized and non reactive when meeting a new dog and we seek a very loving, playful and well Socialized female.
We have not tested him with cats
A daily walk once Stallone has built a trust with his new family
. We recommend children in the home to be over the age of 12.
