The name Metta is a Buddist name meaning Peace. It is also a term used in Yoga referring to when someone sends out their wish that all beings be happy, peaceful and healthy.

This boy weights 12 kg and is a cross between a Miniature and Standard Poodle. In the US it’s recognised as a MOYEN Poodle – meaning the Poodles weight is in between Miniature and Standard size.

He has the prancing elegance of a Standard without the huge size. Man can this boy run!!! I took him down to the river this morning and he moves like the wind. He has good recall and is very social.

After seeing how happy he is running and playing off leash, I’m thinking he will be best suited in a home that:
A. Has an existing medium to large breed dog that is also young and active so they can play and run around to their hearts content or
B. A single dog home that will socialise him daily in Off Leash areas, so he can regularly enjoy being in his happy place(running full speed and playing with other dogs.)

This boy is a pleasure to have in the home, well behaved and quiet unless there is a knock at the door. He is toilet trained, travels well in the car and is good to groom. Loves his humans. He is enjoying cuddling on my bed at night and he sleeps through without disturbing my sleep.

I look forward to receiving your application. Here is a description of the Adoption process after applications are received:
1. After carefully reviewing applications, I will make a shortlist of 2-3 applicants who best match the dogs needs. Only these applicants will be contacted for further information. I often receive numerous applications for any one dog(especially if it’s young and healthy) so contacting everyone is just not viable.
2. Those shortlisted applicants will then be contacted no later than two weeks from the date of application. If you have not been contacted by the two week mark, then assume that you have not been shortlisted.
3. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide a Vet and Grooming reference. This means that with the applicants permission I will contact their Vet and Groomer(if they have used one) to see how well they have looked after any current or past dogs.
4. I then conduct viewings with the few applicants that have excellent references to see if they like the dog and visa versa.This is usually around 1-3 potential families.
5. Once I have chosen an applicant, I conduct a “Fence Check” to ensure that the property is secure. If both parties are comfortable to proceed then adoption takes place. There is a two week trial period where adoptive parents can return the dog and receive a full refund if it doesn’t work out.
6. Dogs are adopted with the following : Current Vaccination Certificate, Sterilisation Certificate, Microchip Details. Adoption fee is $995.
7. My adoption process is very thorough as I am committed to finding the very best home that suits each dogs needs and quirks. Rest assured I’m doing the very best I can to make excellent decisions. If you miss out on a dog, I keep all applications in the hope that another suitable dog will become available soon.

This process may seem like over kill, but many surrendered dogs have often come from a less than ideal situation, and it’s my responsibility to do everything in my power to ensure that their future is absolutely fantastic!!!
