Introducing Tom, a charming and smart gentleman with an aura that attracts everyone who encounters him. Though initially shy, once he feels safe and acquainted with his surroundings, Tom's true personality emerges—a mix of curiosity, warmth, and a palpable zest for discovery.

A food enthusiast by all accounts, Tom has developed a hearty appetite which has resulted in him being a bit of a hefty boy.

Tom gives new meaning to the phrase "curiosity killed the cat". He has previously lived as a stray and has a penchant for seeking adventure outdoors, hence, he can get a bit creative in his escape attempts (he's even mastered the operation of lever door handles!). A home with a cat run would be beneficial and would offer him the perfect setting to let his exploratory side flourish, all the while ensuring safety.

Don't mistake Tom's independence for aloofness; he’s a cat who savors his downtime. Tom isn’t one to cling and will respect your personal space. Nevertheless, he’s not averse to companionship. In fact, he appreciates a good tail scratch, chin rub, and the occasional smooshing session against walls, doors, furniture, or even your legs.

Be careful around that belly, though—it's a trap! Despite his bit of shyness, Tom cherishes his interactions with females (he is wary of men) and would be perfectly happy in a home with a woman or women who want a feline hang out buddy. He's not that big on canine company and prefers the sociability of fellow feline companions, taking a particular liking to his foster kittens. He hasn't met any kids yet but considering his slightly reserved demeanor, Tom would probably be happier in a home without young children.

Overall, Tom is an intelligent, independent, and loveable cat who'll be the perfect addition to a female-led household. With some patience, understanding and catering to his explorer side, you'll have a loyal and entertaining companion in Tom.
