Devo

Devo is an adorably cheeky boy. He loves his people more than anything else in the world. He's a cuddly dog who seeks out affection and would thrive in a family where people are home often. If you're on the couch, he'll want to be next to you. If you start to pat him, he looks like he's glued to you. Devo would absolutely choose to sleep in the bed with you if you let him!

Speaking of bedtime, if Devo won't be cuddling up with you, then he likes to be put to bed. At a certain time in the evening, he comes looking for his humans to put him to bed. He'll stay up later if you promise a morning sleep-in! Cuuuuuuute!

So, what are Devo's favourite activities? Well, he likes to walk and run and would happily check out new places with you regularly. He could walk happily for hours on end if it suited you. He loves playing in the water at the beach, and he also likes to go outside and 'be a dog' in his backyard - sniffing around in the grass, playing and, best of all...sunbaking. Devo's happy place is on his bed, with the sun coming through a window.

Devo is happy to be around children but won't likely show much interest in them until they're old enough to engage with him in play or gentle pats. Despite having lived with a cat previously, Devo gets excited around cats and would likely think a game of 'chase the cat' was a fun idea. Therefore, very careful and very slow, staged introductions with a dog-confident cat would be required if Devo is to happily houseshare with a feline.

When it comes to dogs, Devo will engage in play with other dogs out in public, off-leash, but he won't go looking for a game. Similarly, he plays with other dogs at the park but isn't the type of dog that would have a great time in a busy dog park. When first meeting unfamiliar dogs on walks, Devo's current go-to move is barking, but he's improving and now settles quickly. In his new home, Devo could live happily with a compatible dog, but he isn't the type of dog that needs a canine companion. After all, you will be the centre of Devo's universe!
