About Zuma
Meet Zuma, an 11-month-old Dachshund with a heart of gold. Zuma walks comfortably on a leash with a bit of gentle encouragement. He is a bundle of joy and affection who will make a delightful addition to a loving home. Zuma, though a bit shy at first, is incredibly friendly and gentle once he gets to know you.
This handsome young fellow might be a little nervous around other dogs at first, but he does seem to engage well with smaller and calm canines. Interestingly, Zuma not only tolerates but genuinely likes cats, showcasing his adaptability and friendly nature.
Initially, Zuma might exhibit a bit of anxiety when encountering new people, manifested through growls or barks. However, once he feels safe with you, this cautious behaviour transforms into an avalanche of loving kisses and enthusiastic tail wags. His favorite indulgences include toys and treats, ideally in a quiet, warm environment.
Zuma might occasionally take a liking to ripping apart soft toys, but he's generally not destructive. As a slightly timid and somewhat nervous boy, he requires a family that can provide him with time, patience, and an abundance of love.
In a devoted, loving, and quiet home, Zuma will blossom into his full potential, providing his new family with abundant unconditional love in return. He is a dog ready to dedicate his life to the people he loves, making him a wonderful pet and a loyal friend. The lucky family who adopts Zuma is sure to find a charming canine companion.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
