About Scaramouche - Located in Preston
Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the fandango? Well, if the fandango involves chasing after mouse toys and pouncing on hair ties, count me in! I'm a bolt of lightning, vewy, vewy frightening—at least to those inanimate objects.
Now, let's talk energy. I'm a bundle of it, a whirlwind of fur and fun. Probably best as an only child because, let's face it, small kids might not keep up with my lightning-speed antics. I'm inquisitive and entertaining—what more could you ask for in a dashing kitten?
I'm like the energizer bunny, but with a touch of FOMO. Are you in the kitchen? I'm there, checking out all the sights and smells. Closed doors? Please, those don't exist in my world. I want to be all up in your grill, playing with your feet or unraveling the mysteries of toilet paper. Because why not?
Enrichment is the name of the game for me. I need a home where there's always something exciting to keep me out of trouble. Trouble, by the way, is my middle name, and I'm just looking for a place to happen. So, if you're ready for a daily dose of entertainment, a touch of chaos, and a whole lot of love, I'm your Scaramouche. Let the fandango commence! 🌪️

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
