About Axel
Hi everybody,
I am Axel or Axie Boy or Handsome man as my foster mum calls me!
I’m almost 12 years old and unfortunately my life has been turned upside down. My family was no longer able to look after me due to difficulty with obtaining housing that accepts doggos.
I am a happy, energetic, affectionate dude who has lots of love to give.
Whilst in care during a vet check they found out I have an irregular heartbeat so that means I take medication twice a day to keep me fighting fit. Don’t let that deter you though! We all need a pill or two as we start to age right?
I am not suitable to a house with children under 12, or with cats/chooks or other pocket pets!
I walk great on a leash and I love car rides!!! I live with another small female at the moment and we get on great. Ideally I’d love another home with another small girl Doggo. I did have a fight with another male dog in a previous home so no male dogs please.

* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal aswell.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption and if all goes well that same day, they can adopt on the spot and take home to begin the next chapter together.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
*Please be patient. Applications take time to process.
The site is ran by volunteers who also have work commitments and families of their own.
