About Wally
Hi my name is Wally, and I was hoping you were wanting me as part of your family?
I came into care a few months ago via a vet as my owners were no longer interesting in keeping me.
The rescue went and got me as I was pretty scared and unsure at the vets.
They have made sure all my vet work has been completed – including microchip, vaccinations and desexing.
My foster mum took me home and introduced me to the other furkids there – they were a bit unsure of me and I of them when we first met, but my foster mum let us all settle and learn and now we are all good friends.
Oh sorry I forgot to tell you the really important details of my life!
I am a Chihuahua x Dachshund and I am 5 years and 4 months old
My foster mum has said I have to describe myself to help with my adoption profile – so I asked her how would I describe myself she has said………
I can be nervous when meeting new people so do need a moment to settle and adjust, but don't let that stop you from applying for me - once i know you and trust you - I am yours!!
I am an affectionate and energetic little guy with a heart of gold.
I am not a huge fan of traditional games like fetch, but I am the reigning champion of chasing leaves and keeping an eye on insects (she says my bug-spotting skills are impressive!). She has said most of my day are spent happily playing in the garden, and enjoying soaking up the sun after breakfast.
Please note that does not mean I want to spend my life outside – I would like the best of both worlds – a doggy dog that gives me access to both options anytime and especially if your not home.
My foster mum has said that I have to tell you I am exceptionally well-behaved – I have beautiful manners when being asked to do anything be it come outside, sit patiently during bath time (the key is to give me attention while your doing – I absolute love it).
Oh yeah I also eagerly hop into the car for a ride and my foster mum has said making good progress with leash training. I have started doing some off-leash training and I like to stick near my humans so I would be a great companion for small hikes or beach time.
My favorite pastime is cuddling on the couch and snuggling under blankets at night. I would love to have another small breed dog to be able to snuggle with at night – I have learnt how to do that since coming into care and absolutely love it.
My foster mum says I thrive when I’m with my person, making me a perfect companion for someone who's home often or even a tradie who can take me to work.
I did have some separation anxiety when I came into care but as I settled and the other dogs started to become my friends that really eased but for the first few days I might be a bit unsettled while getting used to my new forever home.
I am also great with kids, I’m not huge (only 6.4kgs) so while I may jump up / around young kids it’s just cause having someone who wants to play with me is so exciting.
If you're interested in adopting me, Wally is my name encase you forgot, please send thru an adoption application – I would love to meet you

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.

Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
